Training Schedule

Now is an excellent time to attend a training class on Mastercam Cad/Cam Software.  We have recently updated all of our classes with new content and examples.  Our classes focus on the latest Mastercam Toolpath technologies and programming techniques.  These classes are an excellent way to reduce the learning curve and get users trained and up to speed quickly on Mastercam.  They contain useful information for the new user and the experienced user as well.

  • Mastercam Mill – Advanced 3D Milling

    Description

    This is a 3-day class. This class is designed as an advanced 3D toolpath class including model preparation commands, boundary creation, and remachining. Toolpaths covered are: Dynamic OptiRough, OptiRest, Area Rough, Rough Parallel, Waterline, Blend, Spiral, Pencil and Hybrid toolpaths. We will also use Stock Model to find remaining stock and write optimized toolpaths. 

    Prerequisites: The student should have previously attended both 2D Milling Essentials and 3D Milling Essentials classes listed above. The student should be comfortable with all operations required to write 2D and basic 3D milling toolpaths, creating basic geometry, as well as with using Mastercam in general.

    NOTE: This class has recently been updated to include all of the latest 3D Dynamic Milling Toolpaths. If you are an experienced Mastercam user, but are not using the dynamic motion toolpaths, you should strongly consider attending this class to become familiar with the new toolpaths and programming techniques.

  • Mastercam Solids

    Description

    This class is now included with the 3-Day Advanced 3D Milling Class. However, anyone with Mastercam Solids (included with Mastercam X9 or later) may attend this 1-day class. This class covers all features in Mastercam Solids, from basic solids construction, to adding draft and modification of the solid. Additionally, Model Prep functions such as, Push-Pull, Move, Impression, Remove and Modify feature are covered. Anyone that received Solids as a result of the X9 release should consider taking this class to learn more about Mastercam Solids. The Impression and Boolean commands are also covered if you create electrodes or fixtures for workholding.

    Prerequisites: Because this is a very specific type of training, the students will be expected to have a good general knowledge of Mastercam, as well as their machine.

    This is a 2-day class. This class is designed as a basic introductory 3D toolpath class. Topics covered are: Importing 3D models, basic model prep and creating geometry required for machining. Mastercam toolpaths covered are: HST 3D Area Mill, Core Mill, Horizontal Area Mill, Waterline, Raster and Scallop Toolpaths.

    Prerequisites: The student should have previously attended the 2D Milling Essentials class listed above. The student should be comfortable with all operations required to write 2D milling toolpaths, creating basic geometry, and using Mastercam in general.

    NOTE: This class has recently been updated to include all of the latest 2D Dynamic Milling Toolpaths.
